What software can I trust to convert my DVDs to mp4s?

I've downloaded a ton of free DVD rippers and none of them work. Now im looking to buy one. I've read reviews on software I don't know what software to trust. Please give any suggestions. Thanks!

    I convert my dvd’s to MP4 to watch on my PSP.
