Where can I find Free downloads for Photo Editing?

I would love it if someone could tell me how to find a free trial or download so that way I can edit pictures. Im interested in Changing the eye color of pictures and just the overall editing it I dont know a whole lot about editing pictures, but I was just wondering if anyone knew of any free trials or downloads for photo editing?

    It’s much like Adobe Photoshop, but free. To be fair, it lacks a few of Photoshop’s features, but unless you want to pirate Photoshop off of a torrent site, it’s your best bet.
